Meet the team behind the Center for Immersive ExperiencesJessica Menold
Director
Jessica Menold is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering Design and Innovation and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. She is also the Director of Technology and Human Research in Engineering Design lab and conducts research at the intersection of engineering design, manufacturing, and deep tech startups. She is passionate about engaging the current and future STEM workforce through emergent technologies and hands on experiences.
Patrick Dudas
Associate Director
Patrick M. Dudas (he/him) has an eclectic background and has collaborated with researchers in Biology, Meteorology, Business, Infectious Diseases, Political Science, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, Entomology, Food Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Information Science, and Clinical Pharmacology. He is passionate about creating data visualizations and storytelling methods to help researchers understand their underlining data and make their results more accessible.
Alex Fatemi
Lead 3D Modeler
Alex is a game developer and 3D generalist working to develop XR experiences for the Center. He graduated from Drexel University with a Master’s in Digital Media doing research on immersive, interactive experiences using projection domes.
Clayton Colson
Lead Mixed Reality Developer
Clayton holds a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University. He has a background developing automation software for the manufacturing industry, and also has experience in data visualization and mixed reality. Clayton is passionate about designing and implementing interactive mixed reality solutions to advance research.
